Hey Mac, wasn`t having a shot at anyone and you can be taught to be an artist (art is subjective) so never say you don`t have what it takes to be a tattooist. Some people are naturals but I can guarantee you they are in the minority, reproducing someone elses art can be just as hard as coming up with originals. So please if it`s your dream persist, but start with art classes understand the basics of art and compostion this will make it so much easier to get your foot in the door.
You are ok man,
I didn't think you were having a go,
That is what i meant about not wasting the studios time,
I would have to go and do art classes, and learn to do it on paper first,
With the school,
I think that it would have to be well run, and not just let anyone with the money to pay their way into the industry.
I don't mean that when you have finished the training, you can go and open a studio, But you can walk into a established studio and already have the certificates etc, and proper knowledge of the body art industry,
It could also cover piecing, scarification
(how the hell do you learn to do that in the first place? please do not answer that in a post, i don't want people getting the idea they can do it home) branding and body mods,
It could also double as somewhere the professional tattoo artist is able to go to or hold seminars for the professional tattoo artist, piercers, etc.
