A six am arrival at the Melbourne airport and Miss Bee was ready for action. The Melbourne PTAA Convention was only hours away and the fun was just about to commence.
After meeting the OUTSTANDING crew from Protat and Tattoo Cave in SA we found ourselves waiting patiently at the international arrivals lounge for the talented John Montgomery and his gorgeous wife Terri to arrive.
After introductions and bags packed we headed to the Sebel to unpack and set up stalls.
Quickly the Hotel turned into a hub of activity as Artists and stall holders filtered into the Convention rooms. Stocking and unpacking products and goods, laying out trestles and equipment.
By 12 the room was in full swing and its here I noticed what it is that I truely dig about the tatoo industry, its the VIBE.
People are friendly, folks in this business are not afraid to say G'day, have a chin wag or smile at a stranger walking by. Creativity has always ranked high on my list of must haves and before the day was done I knew I was in for a wild time, this is my element. I finally feel I can be me. Away from my professional side that sees me dealing with Health ministers, protocals and serious presentation aspects. I can unwind and still be productive doing what I love the most interacting with crew from all walks of life.
